Privacy Policy
GiftLoop is built around surprises β and around keeping your private moments private. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what control you have.
Last updated: October 26, 2026.
1. What GiftLoop is
This policy is provided by JSP The Tech Life LLC (βweβ, βusβ), the parent company operating the GiftLoop product (βGiftLoopβ).
GiftLoop lets a circle of people gather around someone they love: shared wishlists, gifts claimed or split together, messages that stay hidden until the gift is opened, and memories kept on the recipient's wall. This policy covers the GiftLoop app and this website. It does not cover other websites or stores you visit through links in the app.
2. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple through Firebase Authentication, we receive the account identifier and the name and email address your sign-in provider shares. If you sign in with Apple using a private relay address, that relay address is what we receive. You may also add a display name and a profile photo.
Things you create. Wishlists and gifts, circles and memberships, claims and cost splits, messages (text, voice, and video), memories (photos, voice, and video), gift ideas, and creator storefronts and their products. If you share a birthday for gift planning, we store only the month and day (and the year only if you choose to share it), and it is visible only to your circle members.
Purchases. Optional paid features β subscription plans and consumable packs β are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play and verified through RevenueCat. GiftLoop never receives or stores your card details. We keep only the purchase status, entitlement, and balance records needed to grant what you bought.
Gift links. When you add a gift by pasting a link, GiftLoop reads that linked page's public title and image so the gift can be filled in for you. Tapping a gift link opens the retailer's own site or store in your device's browser; GiftLoop is not the seller.
Automatic information. Our servers process your requests in order to run the service, including claim, split, and coin ledgers. The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising trackers. This website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so when you visit this site, Google may see your IP address and browser details as part of serving those fonts.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to run GiftLoop: to show your lists to your circles, to keep claims anonymous until opening, to deliver messages and memories with the visibility you set, to send you notifications about your circles and gifts, to grant and verify your purchases, to prevent abuse, and to answer support and deletion requests. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
4. How sharing works in GiftLoop
Your circles. Lists, messages, and memories are shared with the people you share them with, and no further: a message marked private to the recipient is visible only to the recipient (and its sender); a message marked for the circle is visible to circle members; content you mark public is visible publicly, and only as the visibility rules allow β private-to-recipient and circle-only items never appear publicly, even when a memory itself is public.
Anonymous claiming. By default, a recipient does not see who claimed or split their gifts until the gift is opened, except where you choose to reveal it.
Private links. Some content is reachable by anyone holding its private link or code: guest lists (by token), circle invites (by token or code), and profile photos (by unguessable link). Treat those links and codes as private β anyone holding one can view that content.
5. Who processes your information
GiftLoop works with a small number of service providers who process information only as needed to run the service:
- Google (Firebase Authentication) β sign-in.
- Cloudflare β app hosting, database, and file storage.
- RevenueCat β purchase verification.
- Apple and Google β app-store payments.
- Google Fonts β typefaces on this website.
- FormSubmit β contact-form delivery (until replaced).
We may also disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the safety of our users.
6. Affiliate links
Creator storefronts. A creator's shop links are the creator's own affiliate links: the creator β not GiftLoop β may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Each shop shows its own affiliate disclosure.
Ordinary gift links. GiftLoop does not add affiliate codes to the gift links you add to a wishlist.
7. Children
GiftLoop is for people aged 13 and older. At sign-up you confirm you are 13 or older; the birthdate you enter for that check is used once to compute your age and is never stored β only the confirmation itself is kept.
A list for a child may only be created by the child's parent or guardian, or with their permission. The adult who creates such a list is responsible for its content and for who can see it. Do not post a child's photos, videos, or personal details publicly unless you are the child's parent or guardian and you intend them to be public.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child's information is in GiftLoop without permission, you may request its removal through the contact path in section 10, and we will act on verified requests.
8. Reporting and blocking
You can report any piece of user content β an idea, message, suggestion, storefront item, or user β from inside the app. Reports are queued for human review; reporting does not automatically hide content. You can also block another user, which hides their ideas and circle messages from you.
9. Deleting your account
In the app, go to Profile β Delete account and confirm. Deletion erases your profile, lists, messages, ideas, storefront, photos (including the stored photo files), and sessions. Your account itself becomes an anonymous stub β shown as βDeleted user,β with no name, email, photo, or sign-in identifier β so that references to you stay valid without keeping anything identifiable.
Gift claims, cost-split records, and draw assignments you took part in are kept in anonymized form (no name, email, or photo), so other members' lists and ledgers stay intact. If you cannot sign in, you may request deletion through the contact path in section 10 β tell us the email address on the account and we will delete it.
10. Your choices and contact
You control your visibility settings, your blocks, and your content, and you can delete your account at any time as described above. For access, correction, or deletion requests, or for a parent or guardian removal request under section 7:
Email us at jdcrys.shinkuu@gmail.com or call us at (929) 450-1608.
11. Retention and security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service; after deletion, only the anonymized records described in section 9 remain. Connections to GiftLoop are encrypted in transit, access to your account is guarded by your sign-in, and sensitive actions are checked on our servers rather than trusting the app alone. No system is perfect: keep your sign-in safe, and share private links and codes only with people you trust.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as GiftLoop grows. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this site, and the βLast updatedβ date above will change. Continued use of GiftLoop after a change means you accept the updated policy.
